About Water Color Sort: Puzzle Game
Overview
Water Color Sort: Puzzle Game is a free puzzle game by Zensky Games built around a simple idea: sort colored water into bottles until every bottle holds only one color. The screen is filled with glass bottles, each holding stacked layers of bright liquid, and your job is to move the water around until the colors are separated. There is no timer and no opponent, so each level becomes a quiet test of planning rather than speed.
The game was updated on 12 October 2026 to version 1.0.5. On Google Play it carries a 4.9-star rating from about 2,410 reviews and a 50K+ downloads badge. It is free to download, with a download size of about 110 MB, and it contains ads and optional in-app purchases. It is rated Everyone and can be played offline, which makes it a practical choice for travel and other moments without a connection.
The presentation is calm and clear: the water pours smoothly, the colors are easy to tell apart, and soft pouring sounds play as liquid moves from one bottle to another.
Gameplay
Each level gives you bottles filled with mixed layers of colored water, plus one or two empty bottles for maneuvering. To move water, tap a bottle to select it, then tap the bottle you want to pour into. Only the top layer of a bottle can move, and it can only be poured onto the same color or into an empty bottle. A pour stops when the receiving bottle is full, when the colors no longer match, or when the moving layer runs out.
A level is complete when every bottle contains a single color, or is empty. Early levels use only a few colors and bottles, so you can learn the pouring rules by playing. Later levels add more bottles and colors, which means a careless early move can block the rest of the puzzle. When that happens, you can undo a move, shuffle the bottles, add an extra bottle, or restart the level and try a different order.
The game includes thousands of levels, according to its Play Store listing, and the difficulty rises gradually as new colors and bottle arrangements appear. Because there is no countdown, you can stop in the middle of a level, study the bottles, and work out the next pour at your own pace.

Tips for new players
Start by looking at the whole board before your first pour. Find the colors that appear most often and work out which bottles you want to keep as home bottles for those colors. Try not to pour a color into an empty bottle unless you have a clear plan for it, because an empty bottle is your most valuable space for rearranging layers.
Free the top layers first. If a bottle has a single color on top and another color underneath, moving that top layer can open up the color below and give you more choices. Keep at least one bottle empty for as long as you can, and use it as a temporary holding space when two colors are blocking each other.
Do not rush to fill a bottle. A bottle that is almost full of one color can still be useful as a destination, but filling it too early can remove a place to park a stray layer. If you get stuck, undo a few moves instead of restarting right away, because the mistake is often only two or three pours back. When a level still will not resolve, restarting with a different first move can change the whole puzzle.

FAQ
Is Water Color Sort: Puzzle Game free to play?
Yes. The game is free to download and play on Google Play. It contains ads and offers optional in-app purchases, so you can play the levels without paying, but you may see ads between levels and some tools or extras may require payment.
Can I play Water Color Sort offline?
Yes. According to its Play Store listing, the game can be played offline without Wi-Fi. That makes it useful when you are travelling or have no connection, although downloading it and receiving updates still require internet access.
How do I finish a level if I get stuck?
Check which colors are blocking each other and use Undo to step back a few moves, rather than restarting at once. Keeping an empty bottle free, moving top layers first, and trying a different opening pour often opens a path. If the board still cannot be solved, the Shuffle tool or an Extra Bottle can help, and restarting gives you a fresh attempt.
