About Rock Paper Kingdoms
Rock Paper Kingdoms is a free fantasy strategy game from TapHub Games that puts you in charge of a small castle facing attack after attack. You start with a handful of units, place them where they can do the most good, and try to survive each wave. When a wave ends, you choose one of three upgrade cards, so every run takes a different shape depending on the choices you make.
Your army is the heart of the game. You can summon warriors to hold the front line, archers to pick off enemies from a distance, sturdy tanks to absorb damage, and mages to deal heavy blows. As you progress, you can also unlock towers and special cards, including the Machine Gun, Flame Thrower, Death Tower, Blaster, and Satellite options added in version 0.4.0. Mixing these units and upgrades is where the real strategy lies: a combination that works well on one stage may need a rethink on the next.
The campaign now runs through 100 stages, with new content and tougher enemies as you advance, and an Endless Mode keeps raising the pressure for players who want to test how long their army can last. Between battles, you can unlock permanent upgrades and shape a customizable deck, so even a failed run leaves you stronger for the next attempt. Up to five rerolls on card, rune, and mystery card choices give you more control when a draw does not suit your plan.
Controls are simple and battles run automatically once your units are in place, which makes the game easy to pick up in short sessions. The challenge comes from planning ahead: which units to summon, when to upgrade, and which cards to keep for later waves. The bright, hand-drawn style and the castle-siege setting give it a light, playful feel, even when the enemy waves grow very large.
Why play it? Rock Paper Kingdoms is free to download, rated 4.5 stars on Google Play, and still a relatively new find at 10K+ downloads. It suits anyone who enjoys tower defense, army building, and roguelike upgrades without a long learning curve. If you like planning a defense, trying new unit combinations, and pushing one stage further each time, this is a kingdom worth defending.
